Hey guys, my name is Tae and I am the category manager for Wikia Gaming. I just wanted to pop in and announce that a new admin/bcrat has been promoted: everyone, say hello to Grintal . Normally, Wikia likes to leave the promotion of users to admin/bcrat status up to the community, but in this case, we made an exception. The founder of this wiki, Chel, has not been active for several months, which meant that the wiki did not have anyone with admin rights on active; I began looking at the community and it was obvious that Grintal has been a major force in keeping this wiki alive. He has over 4000 edits, far more than any other user.
I have been attending events like E3 and PAX and Trion has always maintained a strong presence; its booth is always crowded and RIFT is doing very well in the MMO space. This wiki has been very popular but in recent months, the traffic and number of visitors was dying done; in short, something needed to be done to help revitalize it, so the first step was to get this wiki some leadership at the top to ensure it's health and competitiveness.
I hope that you will all see the wisdom of this decision. Chel, as Founder, will retain her rights and it's my hope that she returns someday to continue the work she started. But in the meantime, Grintal will take on admin rights, and will continue his work to make this wiki thrive.
